Low carb and sugar free keto strawberry milkshake! Now that’s something I can get on board with.
What’s your favourite milkshake? I love vanilla, but this strawberry milkshake can surpass even that.
One of my favourite fruits, keto or not, is strawberries. They’re juicy, naturally sweet and taste perfect with some fresh cream. They’re even better tossed into a low carb milkshake! The kids love it and it doesn’t have any added sugar to it so it’s perfect for an afternoon snack or Sunday brunch.
This is such a simple and basic recipe that tastes great. It’s also a good breakfast alternative if you’re on keto and not a coffee drinker. Feel free to add in some flax seeds or any other supplements as they’ll be disguised by all the strawberry goodness.
I absolutely love whipped cream in smoothies or as a thick and rich creamer. The whipping cream along with the vanilla flavored collagen powder are the perfect combination when added to the strawberry milkshake. With the sweetness from the strawberries and the collagen powder I don’t need to add any erythritol.
If you find you do, feel free to add it to your taste.
Additionally, you can use a vegan collagen option. Add in a teaspoon of vanilla extra (if it’s not vanilla flavoured). Then use coconut cream instead of the whipping cream. Just as good and creamy!
For any of you that have kids, I absolutely love these Boon lids that can go on top of any cup and are spill proof! Yay to that!
