So among my family, I have quite a few nicknames, where Google Mother is definitely one of them. Let me tell you… I am a Googl’ing master, especially when it comes to finding natural ways for healing my kids. Even though I’m sure the nickname Google Mother is not given as a compliment I am pretty proud of my talent. Please tell me which mom did not start their Googl’ing quest during their pregnancy and continue it throughout the years? Don’t be shy now. Lift that hand up.
Yes, I agree that anything can be put on the net, the truth, the false and the fake news but it also is a great resource for research where you can find multiple unbiased opinions on different ailments as well as find out what other mom’s have gone through. It’s like an online network of parents sharing knowledge… who wouldn’t want to access that? Yes it can have it’s negative side affects where you might then go overboard but again take everything with a grain of salt. Trust your gut, as you always know best.
A few tips I have when searching for answers on the web:
- Try to type your search as a question:
- What natural remedies are there for a 2 year old with 103 Degree fever?
- Why is my child’s poop green?
- Why is my hair falling out 3 months postpartum?
- If you don’t get the answer you’re looking for try being more specific or re-wording your question:
- Is a 103 Degree fever bad for a 2 year old?
- What does green poop mean?
- Is it normal to lose your hair postpartum?
- Try looking for other resources – nowadays there are so many forums and parenting apps where you can ask your questions and get a response back fairly quickly
